Purpose of creation

First, we need to understand

the meaning of all creation,

meaning for what purpose

the world was created.

The answer to this is as our sages said, "To do good to His creations".

 For this reason,

He created creatures and impressed in them

a desire and longing to receive delight and pleasure.

This is called the “purpose of creation”

Therefore, a correction was made, called “restriction and concealment

to receive only with the intention to bestow.

Because the inferior must make this vessel

and this is against nature

since they were created with a desire to receive delight and pleasure, for this reason,

everything that is not natural is difficult to do.

Since the operated is not in equivalence of form with operator, creatures will feel shame in the reception of delight and pleasure.

This is called "effort".

Rabash Article 9 Vol. 4 1988/89

11) Now we have found a way to examine the purpose of creation, which is

“To cling unto Him”

in its true appearance

All the gentleness and pleasure and sublimity become a natural extension here

 as we have said above:

1) that pleasure is only the equivalence of form with the Maker. When we equalize in every conduct with our Root, we sense delight.

2) Everything we encounter that is not in our Root becomes intolerable, disgusting, or considerably painful to us, as is necessitated by that concept.

And we naturally find that our very hope

depends on the extent of our equivalence of form with our Root.

And we naturally find that our very hope depends on the extent of our equivalence of form

with our Root.
